Dr. Hammerschlag is on the board of directors and an active provider to the nonprofit, Center for Hearing and Communication, which has been been providing hearing care since 1904.

Hammerschlag, MD, FACSWhen not treating patients Dr. Paul Hammerschlag regularly contributes articles to textbooks and periodicals, shares his insight in roundtable discussions with pediatricians and hearing specialists and lectures across the country and around the world.

Dedicated to the education of other physicians, Dr. Hammerschlag has held many faculty positions, including:

  • Otolaryngology Instructor at Harvard Medical School
  • Lecturer at Mount Sinai Medical School
  • Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at NYU Medical School
  • Teaches Neurotology Fellows and Otolaryngology Residents at Department of Otolarengology at NYU School of Medicine

He is currently a member of the faculty at the New York University Medical Center and co-director of the NYU Center for Ear Developmental Anomalies.

Dr. Paul Hammerschlag has retired after a long and distinguished career. His friend and colleague, Dr. Darius Kohan, Associate Professor at NYU School of Medicine and Director of Otology/Neurotology at Lenox Hill Hospital and MEETH, will continue to manage his practice and provide continued care for his patients.
