Implantable Hearing Aids
Implantable hearing aids are an option for patients who can’t use cochlear implants or want to avoid visible hearing aids. This type of hearing aid transmits and amplifies sound through the ear and is used primarily by patients whose hearing loss is not severe.
One advantage to implantable hearing aids is a clearer and more natural sound with less feedback than traditional, ear-molded devices. Patients can still easily control volume and other settings through remote control devices that communicate with the implant.
