Meet Paul E. Hammerschlag, M.D.

Paul E. Hammerschlag, M.D. brings to his otology practice a technical and personal understanding of hearing loss and of the educational and social problems associated with disability. He regularly shares his insights in articles and roundtable discussions with pediatricians and hearing specialists nationwide.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the League for the Hard of Hearing.

He is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his otolaryngology surgical residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. This was followed by a Fellowship in Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School.

He assumes responsibility for educating other physicians and has held many faculty positions including Otolaryngology Instructor at Harvard Medical School, Lecturer at Mount Sinai Medical School, and Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at NYU Medical School.

Dr.Hammerschlag is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. His society memberships include:

In acknowledgement of his expertise, Dr.Hammerschlag has been appointed to hospital medical boards and national society committees including the Committee on Facial Nerve Disorders for the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

Dr.Hammerschlag is a prolific author of textbooks and periodicals. He is a frequent lecturer for the American Laryngological, Rhinological, and Otological Society and the American Neurotology Society. Invitation to speak has taken him all over the United States and the world including France, Denmark, Brazil, and Germany.
