Our Practice
A Personal Commitment
Hearing problems and other disorders of the ear affect millions of children and adults each year, making it difficult for them to participate fully in the world around them. New advances, however, in the treatment of chronic and congenital abnormalities have brought the advantages of improved hearing to many patients who were previously thought to be untreatable.
Paul E. Hammerschlag, M.D. has accumulated a broad educational and clinical background in otology (the treatment of ear diseases), and has earned an impressive reputation in the field. He utilizes both established techniques and recent therapeutic innovations to afford his patients new opportunities for a higher quality of life.
At the heart of his services is an understanding and empathy for his patients. He emphasizes the following elements in his practice:
- Innovation: Dr. Hammerschlag is a leader in his field, conducting innovative research on surgery and rehabilitation. He brings the latest advances to you.
- Patient Education: We encourage you to become a knowledgeable participant in your otology care. Patient consultations, brochures and individualized diagrams are available to aid in the education process.
- Commitment: Dr. Hammerschlag's training and expertise in treating ear disorders has brought him international recognition. Patients, however, continue to recognize him for a personal and caring approach.
Your Office Visit
Your examination is not routine, but tailored to your specific symptoms and needs. We will schedule ample time for you to ask questions and have any specialized testing performed.
We realize your time is valuable, and we try not to keep you waiting; however, occasionally, our efforts to provide personalized care cause us to run behind schedule. If this happens while you are waiting, please be assured that when your appointment comes, you will also receive Dr. Hammerschlag's undivided attention.
Except in the case of an emergency, patients are seen by appointment on Monday and Thursday, all day, and Wednesday morning. Other times are reserved for surgery, research and teaching.
If you have any questions about treatment, billing or insurance, please feel free to call Dr. Hammerschlag or a member of his staff.
